After doing a three hour presentation and having a full day of group projects, I was happy to make the trek downtown to have dinner with one of my closest friends since high school. We're both at completely different places in our lives than we were a few years ago; it's something we're happy to update each other on, as well as be extremely proud of.

As we grow up and our schedules barely have any breathing room it's understandable that now we hardly see each other. Yet when we do, we always pick up where we left off and I love her for that!

I've found that real friends don't let time passed get in the way. When it does get tough to catch up it's not enough to give up after you've tried reaching out and it just doesn't work. That is of course unless the other person has already made that decision, then it probably isn't fair to you. But most times, it will always work out in some way.

I love this post — it makes me so thankful to have some amazing people in my life I can always count on  <3
