#4

Today's recap is short and sweet, and centers around my compulsive spending habits. While I try to avoid feeling guilty about this, I admit that I make all sorts of useless purchases. Most of which raise my happiness/contentment levels a slight bit but ultimately just end up being another line on a receipt.

My convenience-driven student lifestyle means that an average week sucks up the following from my wallet: 5 x coffees, tea lattes, and holiday drinks = $23, and 3 x restaurant or to-go meals = $45.

I haven't even included other, more sporadic buys and that's leaves me $68 less to spend on the actual important stuff. This Thought Catalog article explains the idea that all purchases are investments, and I thought it was fantastic in explaining my financial drama to a tee —seriously go read it!

I mean it when I say it felt incredible to spend absolutely nothing today. You should try it.
